2011 Summary of advances in autism spectrum disorder research

This summary comes from the Interagency Autism Coordinating Council, which produces an annual list of scientific advances that represent significant progress in the autism field. There were many noteworthy findings in the 20 studies selected from 2011, including a 5-minute screen shown to detect autism and other developmental disorders in 75% of affected toddlers.
