Accommodations in the math or science classroom

Students with disabilities struggle with many barriers in their academic career. Teachers also struggle with ways to help these students learn. Making some small accommodations in the classroom can help significantly. Visit SciTrain’s accommodations section, which identifies academic areas in which students face barriers (i.e., classroom, computers, math, laboratory, and distance education), coupled with ways for teachers to help their students using assistive technologies and other methods.  (posted September 7, 2012)
