Final amendments to FERPA

On December 2, 2011, the U.S. Department of Education published the final amendments to the regulations for implementing the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) in the Federal Register. FERPA is meant to protect the privacy of education records while allowing for the effective use of data.
