In the Use of RTI to Identify Students with Learning Disabilities: A Review of the Research, Drs. Doug Dexter and Charles Hughes present the regularly stated criticisms of the current LD identification methods and review the latest research on the impact of RTI as a method for LD identification. They explore whether that research addresses the concerns and criticisms its proponents have about the use of the IQ discrepancy method or if additional research is warranted to evaluate the role of RTI in the LD identification process.
